Where we started

We built agent infrastructure for enterprise IT — technology that could operate within any system, including those with no public API. It worked everywhere. Which meant we were building for everyone, and talking to no one in particular. Bad news for a pitch deck. Great news for what came next.

The pattern we kept hearing

Dozens of finance leader conversations, different companies, different industries, same story every time. One person, usually the CFO, had access to every system that mattered. Everyone who reported to them didn't. The gap was infrastructure: nobody had built a way to hand that same reach down the org chart.

Why accounting, specifically

Accounting and tax run on rules - the same forms, the same calculations, the same checks, every single cycle. That's exactly the kind of work agents are built for, at exactly the moment the profession has the fewest people left to do it by hand.

Fewer accountants enter the field every year. More clients for the ones who do.
